Smethwick Change Spaces Co-working

Smethwick ChangeSpaces is a coworking office based in the old vestry chapel of Holy Trinity Church, just off Smethwick High Street.

For those who’ve never heard of coworking it is what it sounds like – individuals working separately, but alongside others in the same space! Coworking can help to connect people who might otherwise work alone, and it can open up possibilities to collaborate, share knowledge and experiences.

We’re a not-for-profit space specifically set up to encourage connections between small charities, community organisations (such as CICs), social enterprises as well as individuals who need a flexible working space at an affordable rate.

ChangeSpaces is no ordinary office space – we still get to enjoy many of the beautiful features of the old chapel plus we host opportunities to get to know each other with regular pot-luck lunches (or picnics on the grass outside when it’s lovely and sunny).

It’s easy to get here, being only a 3-minute walk from Rolfe Street train station or a 7 minute walk from Smethwick Galton Bridge station and 2-minutes from the high street where you can catch the 55, 87 or 89 bus, or there’s plenty of local on-street parking nearby if you choose to drive.

We’re as flexible as you need. Users will have their own key, so if working at weekends or evenings works for you then we can also support this.

ChangeSpaces is intended to be self-managing – meaning that Lizzie and Sally, who have set it up, endeavour to be present as much as possible but we don’t guarantee this. It’s easy to access, has all the facilities you should need and we’re easy to contact should you have any issues.

Facilities:

Kitchenette – with fridge, microwave and toaster
Tea/Coffee
5G Wifi Network
Meeting room space – available to book by members
Registered postal address
Small lockers

Here’s a little bit more about the ethos of the space and how it’s all working: https://youtu.be/CcZF15Dm6nA

Membership rates:

Level one: £25 per month for 5 days a month flexible access
Level two: £50 per month for 2.5 days a week flexible access
Level three: £100 per month for 5 days a week flexible access
